What is the PCB Conformal Coating For G1/G2/G3 Compliances?
PCB conformal coatings for G1/G2/G3 compliances are specialized protective coatings designed to shield printed circuit boards (PCBs) from environmental stress, moisture, corrosion, chemical contaminants, and electrical failure. These coatings comply with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard IEC 60068-2-60, which outlines the environmental testing for electronic components.
G1, G2, and G3 represent increasing levels of environmental severity:
- G1: Mild environment – limited humidity and pollution exposure.
- G2: Moderate environment – increased moisture and chemical presence.
- G3: Harsh environment – high humidity, pollutants, corrosive gases, and dust.

Key Features:
- AEROSOL: Spray Acrylcoat evenly from 25 cm distance. Heat PCB to 55–60°C before spraying. Air dry or cure at 60°C for 1 hour. Shake well before use.
- LACQUER: Apply by brushing, dipping, or spraying. Compatible with coating machines or dispensers.
- REMOVAL: Use Conins Thinner ELCLEAN for easy removal.
- STORAGE: Store below 40°C in a cool, dry place. Avoid flames. Contents are highly flammable.
- PRECAUTIONS: Flammable. Avoid skin/eye contact or inhalation.
- Skin: Wash with soap and water.
- Eyes: Rinse with water. Seek medical help if irritation persists.
- Shelf Life: 2 years (aerosol), 1 year (lacquer) in sealed containers.
- Packing: 500 ml aerosol, 1L/5L/25L lacquer containers.
- LQ: 1L, 5L, 25L options available.
- Approved by C-DOT. Conforms to MIL 46058C Type AR.
